South Coast Windows & Doors (“SCWD,” “South Coast,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through southcoastwindowsanddoors.com (the “Site”), how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, requesting an estimate, or otherwise submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

This Policy applies only to information collected through the Site and related communications (phone, email, contact forms). It does not apply to information collected offline or through separate written contracts, warranties, or financing agreements you may enter into with us in connection with an installation project.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Contact and estimate requests: name, phone number, email address, mailing/property address, project details, photos, or plans you upload or send us.
• Communications: anything you send us by phone, email, text, or the contact form, including call recordings where disclosed at the time of the call.
• Job/project records: information related to scheduling, estimates, invoices, and warranty records if you become a customer.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps, collected via standard server logs and analytics tools.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4 below.

Categories under California law (CCPA/CPRA)

For California residents, the information above falls into the following statutory categories of personal information, which we have collected within the preceding 12 months:

• Identifiers — such as name, postal address, email address, phone number, and IP address.
• Customer records (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) — such as your address and phone number provided in connection with an estimate or project.
• Commercial information — records of estimates requested and products or services you have obtained or considered.
• Internet or other electronic network activity — such as pages viewed, referring URLs, and how you interact with the Site.
• Geolocation data — general location inferred from your IP address (we do not collect precise GPS location through the Site).
• Audio, electronic, or visual information — such as call recordings (where disclosed) and photos or plans you send us.

Sources of information: we collect this information directly from you (through forms, calls, email, or text), automatically from your device as you use the Site, and from service providers who help us operate the Site and our business (see Section 6).

Business purposes for collection are described in Section 3, and the categories of third parties to whom we may disclose information are described in Section 6.

Sensitive personal information: we do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (as defined by the CPRA) through the Site, and we do not use or disclose any such information for purposes that would give rise to the right to limit its use.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to estimate requests, quotes, and general inquiries;
• Schedule in-home consultations, measurements, and installations;
• Process and service contracts, invoices, and warranty claims;
• Communicate with you about your project, including appointment reminders and follow-ups;
• Improve the Site, our services, and customer experience;
• Comply with legal, licensing (CSLB), tax, and recordkeeping obligations; and
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or misuse of the Site.

We do not use the information you submit for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate correctly, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and — where you consent — to support analytics and advertising.

We use a consent management platform (CookieYes) to give you control over non-essential cookies. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are blocked until you choose to accept them. UserWay, Inc. acts as a separate service provider and processes this data under its own privacy policy, available at userway.org/privacy-policy. Enabling the widget’s features (such as screen-reader support or contrast adjustments) is optional and controlled entirely by you through the on-screen accessibility icon.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers who perform work on our behalf, such as scheduling software, email/SMS providers, payment processors, analytics providers, and the UserWay accessibility widget — each bound to use the information only to provide services to us;
• Advertising and analytics partners whose cookies you have consented to (see Section 4), which may receive Site-usage information through those cookies for measurement and, where enabled, advertising;
• Manufacturers and suppliers (e.g., for warranty registration on windows and doors you purchase), where necessary to fulfill your order or warranty;
• Professional advisors, such as our accountants, insurers, or attorneys, as needed;
• Government or regulatory bodies when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights, safety, or property; and
• A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.

7. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Because retention needs differ by the type of information, we generally apply the following criteria:

• Estimate and contact inquiries that do not become projects: retained for a limited period sufficient to follow up on your inquiry, then deleted or de-identified.
• Customer job, warranty, invoice, and financial records: retained for the multi-year periods required by California contractor licensing, warranty, tax, and accounting rules.
• Server logs and analytics data: retained for a short period for security, troubleshooting, and Site-improvement purposes.

Where we are not required to retain information for a legal, contractual, or recordkeeping purpose, we delete or de-identify it once it is no longer needed.

9. Your Privacy Rights (California Residents — CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used and disclosed;
• Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;
• Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; and
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

How to submit a request

To opt out of cookie-based sharing for advertising, use Cookie Settings and reject the Advertisement category (see Section 4). To exercise your other rights (know, delete, correct), submit a request through either of these two methods:

We will verify your identity before fulfilling your request. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days; if we need more time, we may extend that period by an additional 45 days and will notify you of the extension and the reason for it. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, in which case we may require proof of the agent’s authorization and verification of your identity.

California “Shine the Light”

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83) permits California residents to request information about a business’s disclosure of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

10. Sale & Sharing of Personal Information

South Coast Windows & Doors does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. However, some of the cookies described in Section 4 — in particular Analytics and Advertisement cookies — may result in disclosures that the CCPA/CPRA treats as a “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Any such cookies are set only where you have consented, and you can withdraw your consent or opt out at any time using Cookie Settings. Rejecting the Analytics and Advertisement categories stops these disclosures. Aside from these consent-based cookies, we do not sell or share your personal information.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults seeking home-improvement services and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (for example, manufacturer product pages or review platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
